Vicon Appoints Corporate Engineering VP

Vicon Industries, a designer and producer of integrated IP video surveillance and access control systems, appointed Frank Jacovino to the new position of VP, Corporate Engineering. Jacovino, who reports directly to Vicon's CEO, Ken Darby, immediately assumes responsibility for all engineering functions within the company.

Jacovino comes to Vicon with an array of engineering management experience, having previously served as VP of Engineering at Long Island-based Tachtronics International and Robotic Vision Systems. He led engineering teams in bringing commercially successful product to market, from concept to production.

"Vicon is delighted to welcome Frank to the company," Darby said. "His technical and leadership skills will be instrumental in taking Vicon to the next level in the ever evolving electronic security marketplace."

Jacovino anticipates his role at Vicon. "I am excited to be joining a successful and well respected company of 43 years in the security industry," he said. "Security technology is evolving quickly and I look forward to the challenge of engineering products that further enhance the proud history of Vicon."
