DVTel, a vendor for the development and delivery of intelligent security solutions over IP networks, announced that Igal Dvir, CTO from Nice Security Group, will oversee DVTel's Product Group as the new President of DVTel. Under this new management structure, DVTel will have a broader focus on both software and hardware development, continuing its mission to be complete and open.
Dvir brings with him a successful tenure at Nice Systems where he moved his way through the ranks of product development, most recently as the CTO of the Security Group. His distinguished career has seen him responsible for technology roadmaps, industry standardization, R&D, cross division synergy, and merger & acquisition integration within engineering as new companies were purchased.
Dvir is the founder and leader of VULCAN (Video Understanding Learning Content and Notification), a five-year program from the Israeli Chief Scientist. This program is a cooperation between security industries and academia researchers developing generic technology in the field of analytics for security.
