OSI Systems, a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the Security and Healthcare industries, announced that following a competitive international tender its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, has been awarded a $5 million contract by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to provide an integrated security screening solution that includes advanced vehicle, cargo, baggage and personnel screening systems. The equipment is expected to be used by NATO for the inspection of vehicles, cargo, personnel and baggage.

The award by NATO is the latest in a number of recent awards to Rapiscan Systems for integrated security systems that combine cargo, vehicle and personnel screening. Within the past twelve months, Rapiscan has also received contracts from the U.S. government, UK Customs, the European Union and multiple customers in Asia and the Middle East.
