A recent market survey confirms Bosch Security Systems' global leadership in video encoders. The 2009 IMS Research report on “CCTV and Surveillance World” put the company at No. 1 in video encoders, with a market share of nearly 12 percent.

These results confirm Bosch's own expectations, based on the company's recent trend of positive growth in the video surveillance market. It follows a host of innovations recently introduced by the company. These include the VIP X1600 XF H.264 high-performance IP video encoder modules featuring a new architecture with hardware-embedded video analytics. The modules have been introduced to meet the increasing market demand for better images with less demand on network and storage resources. They are combined with “intelligence at the edge,” pushing video analysis to the edge of a network to save system resources.
