Intellicheck Mobilisa, a global provider in access control and wireless security systems, received a contract from the US Army at Fort Benning to provide them with the Defense ID R access control system. The value of the contract is $809,853 for equipment, software, installation, training and warranties.

Utilizing Intellicheck Mobilisa's patented ID reading technology, Defense ID quickly scans various forms of IDs, such as Drivers Licenses, Military ID's or Passports, and instantly compares the data to over 100 “bad guy” lists.

Fort Benning, near Columbus, Georgia supports over 120,000 personnel each day, and is considered a power-projection platform, capable of deploying combat-ready forces by air, rail and highway. The post is home to the Army's Airborne School as well as the US Army Infantry School, the primary training facility for Infantry enlistees.

"We are very pleased to provide Fort Benning the Defense ID system,” said Dr. Nelson Ludlow, CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa. “Fort Benning is a vital training facility for our nation's military, often open to the public for graduations as well as a common location for movie and television productions. We are proud they chose Defense ID for screening their visitors and to be assisting them in protecting our troops.”
