CCTV specialist AD Group announces that Pauline Norstrom, the company's Board Director and Director of Worldwide Marketing, has received the prestigious British Security Industry Association (BSIA) Chairman's Award for Promoting the Industry.

The award was presented by Association Chairman, Stuart Lowden, at the BSIA's Annual Lunch held on the 15th July at the London Hilton, Park Lane. It was given in recognition of Pauline's outstanding contribution to the industry in the past year as an extremely committed advocate of CCTV technology to industry, end-users and the wider public, especially through her work with the media.

As Chairman of the BSIA's CCTV Section, and Chair of the National PR and CCTV Section PR Committees, Pauline is regularly called upon to speak at industry and end-user events and has undertaken a number of high profile national and regional broadcast media interviews - including with the BBC World Service and Radio 5 Live - on behalf of the Association, putting the case for CCTV. In addition, Pauline continues to provide authoritative advisory pieces for a wide range of security and end-user publications.

"I am delighted to have received this award and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members of the CCTV Section and in particular its PR Committee for their efforts,” said Norstrom.

"This work, in conjunction with the BSIA's in-house PR team, has helped not only to raise the profile of CCTV but has ensured that over the past year we have been in a position to offer timely comment to the media at all levels on key CCTV issues, such as the publication of a series of parliamentary reports on surveillance. I believe that it is imperative that misconceptions regarding this technology are not left unchallenged but countered in a considered, informed, and positive manner," continued Norstrom.

The British Security Industry Association is the trade association covering all aspects of the professional security industry in the UK. Its members provide over 70 percent of UK security products and services and adhere to strict quality standards.
