Proximex, a developer of award-winning products for the physical security information management (PSIM) market, announced that John Skowronski has joined the company as VP of business development. Skowronski will report to Patrick Reilly, VP of worldwide sales. In his new role at Proximex, Skowronski is responsible for business development as well as managing key strategic accounts and business partner relationships in the defense and critical infrastructure markets.

"The PSIM market is an exciting place to be right now and, as the market leader, Proximex has a wealth of opportunities to offer its Surveillint platform to customers, dealers and systems integrators,” said Patrick Reilly, VP of worldwide sales. “John's extensive security experience will be a valuable asset to help Proximex extend its market presence and build strategic partnerships. We are extremely glad to have John join the Proximex team.”

Skowronski's security experience spans more than twenty years in the electronic fire and security services industry where he planned, organized and led sales and operations for several leading companies. "The need for PSIM in today's organizations is clearly evident and the Proximex solution brings amazing possibilities to this market,” said Skowronski. “I'm very excited to spread the PSIM message on behalf of Proximex and to develop new market initiatives with customers and partners for the company.”

Prior to UTC, Skowronski held executive roles at Tyco Fire & Security/ADT Security Services in the areas of sales, business development, strategy and general management. His experience includes several years of market development work in the EMEA region.  Skowronski holds a B.S. degree from Frostburg State University.
