Perceptics and Simtix Form Partnership for Border Security in Abu Dhabi

Perceptics, the provider of national Border Security and Traffic Management company, formed an exclusive partnership with Dubai based Simtix for distribution of Perceptics' advanced under vehicle inspection systems (UVIS) and license plate reader systems (LPR) in the Middle East and Northern Africa.


Projects under way include a border security solution being provided for Abu Dhabi, UAE, in which Perceptics, as a subcontractor to American Science and Engineering (AS&E) is integrating its UVIS and Arabic LPR imaging technology with AS&E's Backscatter x-ray detection solutions at strategic border check points. AS&E's solutions include its OmniView Gantry cargo and vehicle inspection system and AS&E's multiview Z Portal cargo and vehicle screening system.


This technology enhances the ability of the Abu Dhabi Customs to protect the emirate's borders while facilitating trade and collecting revenues through effective customs operations as per the directorate strategic priorities.
