Stretch, a provider in software configurable processors, announced JDL Digital Systems completed the integration of their popular Core4 software platform with the Stretch VRC6000 Series of DVR add-in cards. The JDL software provides advanced DVR features such as playback, search, remote access, automated scheduling, clip export, authentication, and alarm handling, all now working with the Stretch DVR add-in cards.

"With JDL's software, customers now have a complete DVR solution that combines Stretch's unsurpassed channel density and cost per channel with sophisticated, PC-based DVR software," said Bob Beachler, Stretch VP of Marketing. "We are excited that JDL selected the Stretch VRC6000 Series of cards as a platform for their Core4 product.

The Stretch VRC6000 Series leverages the processing power of the Stretch S6000 family of software configurable processors to provide full D1 H.264 encoding in a short form factor PCIe DVR add-in card. The Stretch Intelligent Encoder provides multi-stream, multicodec capability with video preprocessing and embedded analytics and the rich application programmers interface (API) simplifies integration with host DVR software such as the surveillance platform from JDL.

"Integration with the Stretch DVR add-in cards was fast, easy, and intuitive," said Victor Huang, CEO of JDL. "Because all the Stretch DVR add-in cards use the same application programming interface (API), we can now offer customers high performance, scalable solutions across a range of channel densities and price points. We are delighted to be partnering with Stretch to provide best in class DVR products for the video surveillance industry."

Stretch VRC6000 Series DVR add-in cards are available immediately from Stretch and the Core4 software can be downloaded from the JDL Website.
