Mobotix, a technologically system provider for digital high-resolution network-based video security systems, reports the results for the first half of fiscal year 2008/09, ending on December 31, 2008.


The Mobotix Group (IFRS consolidated statements) has reached a sales growth of approx. 44 percent in the first half of fiscal year 2008/09 resulting in sales of $28.3 million (previous year: $19.7 million).


The group EBITDA reached $7.5 million (previous year: 4.2 million). Reporting a 25.5 percent (previous year: 20.1 percent) EBITDA margin Mobotix continues to reach a high level of profitability. With an EBIT of $6.7 million (previous year: $3.5 million), the EBIT margin could be increased to 22.9 percent (previous year: 16.3 percent). The profit for the period amounts to $4.9 million, resulting in earnings per share of $1.1.


In the second quarter (October 1 – December 31, 2008) of the current fiscal year Mobotix′s sales amounted to $15.02 million (previous year: $10.8 million) corresponding to a growth of about 40 percent compared with the same period of the previous year.


The worldwide market share could be further increased due to the continuously high growth in quarter, which was above average.
