Specialized Cameras Offer Customized Protection

Everyone wants to stand out from the crowd; Chinese vendors are manufacturing special cameras, albeit with the same protective functions, to attract buyer attention. ASMAG.com focuses in on the latest products from Gospell, Huanghe Phosctech, RDI and Santachi.

There are three kinds of Huanghe WiFi cameras and RF series products for home and shop security: the HH9604 P/T WiFi camera with RF, HH9602 WiFi IP dome camera with RF and HH9605 WiFi IP cube camera with RF.

HH9600 series products are specially integrated IP cameras that have been designed for small and medium shops and home use. They have built-in Web servers to view images, and users can control them via IE. In the office, for example, employees can monitor elderly parents or children at home.

In addition, the IP cameras work with wireless alarm gateways, supporting all kinds of remote control and wireless detectors, such as infrared sensors, PIR, curtain sensors, smoke detectors and gas detectors. In the event of a break-in or gas leak, the IP cameras automatically send alarms; there is also an emergency help button.

The IP cameras also have pan, tilt and optional zoom for home use. They are easy to install and operate, making them the best choice for personal security. The cameras also support remote surveillance via mobile phone and are compatible with many kinds of intelligent mobile operations; users can view images via IE or DDNS to realize real-time surveillance and play-back.

The HH9600 series offers Internet listening and broadcasting, two-way audio, and a built-in microphone and speaker. It can be integrated with many Internet storage protocols for network hard disks, remote configuration, upgrades, fault inspection, auto patrol and remote maintenance. With built-in Micro SD ports, it provides local and Internet storage.

These cameras also come with public standard API ports and enable SDK integrated development so developing all kinds of software applications is easy. Privacy protection means that the series can be controlled by remote control or client; when privacy protection mode is enabled, remote surveillance and recording are disabled. The cameras also allow local, central, network and mobile messaging to turn alarms on or off.

Santachi's ST-NT1102H network IR camera features H.264 standard compression mode, optimal image quality and minimal bandwidth. Powerful software functions provide total software solutions and support recording, transmission and central management. Unique video decoding functions enable it to decode IP video data to composite video signal by decoder and display it on monitors. The product allows built-in SD cards, and local recording is available. Intercom functions include built-in microphone and loudspeaker, and it is equipped with one-channel audio input and output interface for remote communication.

The built-in Web server sees images from anywhere through client-side software or IE browser. In addition, it captures and records surveillance images. There are two flexible visit modes: one end to multi end and multi-end to one end. There are also many alarms (motion detection, video detection, I/O status and logo update). It captures images, records and performs other relevant actions when alarms occur. With a built-in Linux operation system, it possesses excellent capabilities in low illumination, providing long-distance, high-quality video images at night. The product comes with TCP/IP protocol, including DDNS and PPPoE. It supports dual-stream for selection of different saving code and remote transmission ratios.

Phosctech's PH-EC3142 miniature camera has one-third-inch Sony super HAD CCD, featuring 420-TVL horizontal resolution. With Sony SS-11 DSP chipset, it provides PAL and NTSC TV systems. Effective pixels are 537 RDI IP200 standalone IP camera pixels by 597 pixels in PAL, 537 pixels by 505 pixels in NTSC. It offers AWB white balance, adjustable AGC and adjustable backlight compensation. It can be customized with a 3.6-millimeter lens. The electronic shutter speed is 1/50 second to 1/120,000 second. Minimum illumination is 0 lux (IR on) with an S/N ratio of more than 48 dB. The camera comes with 15 meters IR view distance and 0.45-gamma correction. The operation temperature is from -10 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.

With a built-in DVR, Gospell's GCC-200 IR zoom camera supports (up to two gigabytes) SD cards that store dates permanently when power is down. It also features an intelligent security DVR, manual focus and PAL or NTSC TV video (monitor and play back). The built-in motion detection system automatically detects motion in monitored areas, taking photos or records as needed. The camera provides two kinds of recording and photography so users can select what works best for them. Finally, the products are easy to install and use  a true DIY home security system.

Finally, RDI's IP200 standalone IP camera with recording needs connection to only power and the network. Plug play setup keeps things simple. H.264 compression ensures smooth, stable data transmission. Users can send e-mails with captured images to mailboxes. The series offers easy installation and operation as well as a user-friendly interface. With USB, cameras provide both local SD card and remote recording for video and snapshots.
