CHeKT, a leader in proactive visual security, announced the release of CHeKT 6.0, a major platform update designed to help security dealers, integrators, and alarm monitoring centers deliver scalable video security services for commercial and enterprise customers. The release introduces advanced system partitioning; unified monitoring workflows to support Alarm.com, OpenEye, and CHeKT connected camera deployments; and expanded operational tools that make it easier to protect complex properties, improve efficiency, and support higher value remote video monitoring services.
Headlining the release is advanced system partitioning for the CHeKT Video Security System, enabling up to 16 independently controlled security areas within a single property. This allows security service providers to design more precise proactive video security configurations for complex environments. While partitioning has long been standard in traditional alarm systems, CHeKT extends this concept into proactive video security — allowing cameras, AI analytics, alarm workflows, user permissions, and monitoring operations to be configured independently within each partition as part of a unified video security system.
This capability gives dealers, integrators, and end customers far greater operational flexibility. Different areas of a property, such as inventory yards, equipment storage, delivery entrances, or high‑value zones, can remain armed and actively monitored while other areas are accessed by employees, vendors, or approved users. Instead of forcing an entire site into a single armed or disarmed state, CHeKT 6.0 aligns video security with real‑world business operations. By allowing each partition to carry its own monitoring rules and service level, the updated platform can help security providers protect critical assets continuously, reduce day‑to‑day friction for customers, and introduce multiple tiers of paid video monitoring — unlocking new recurring revenue opportunities from existing accounts.
“With CHeKT 6.0, we are giving security integrators and monitoring centers the tools to design proactive video security around the way modern properties actually operate,” said Wes Usie, President of CHeKT. “Partitions make it possible to keep critical areas and assets protected while allowing authorized activity in other parts of a property. This is an important step in helping the industry move beyond basic video verification toward scalable, proactive visual security services for commercial and enterprise customers.”
CHeKT 6.0 also unifies Remote Video Monitoring services for Alarm.com, OpenEye, and CHeKT connected camera deployments within the CHeKT Video Monitoring Portal for 24/7 alarm monitoring centers. With this integration, currently in Limited Availability, alarm monitoring centers can now provide video monitoring services across Alarm.com cameras, the OpenEye ecosystem, and traditional security camera brands connected through the CHeKT Video Control Panel.
When a critical event is detected, CHeKT’s RVM portal provides monitoring center operators with a unified view of live video, site context with video recordings, and command and control tools, including audio broadcasts, two-way audio, sirens, lighting, gate controls, and other on-site property actions. This unified experience allows monitoring centers to standardize on CHeKT for remote video monitoring services, which can reduce training time, improve service consistency, and lower operational costs associated with supporting multiple video software platforms. As monitoring centers consolidate their video operations onto a single portal, CHeKT provides the operating layer around which these providers can build their video monitoring businesses.
Additional Enhancements in CHeKT 6.0
Interactive Multi Area Site Mapping: CHeKT’s interactive video site map now supports multiple areas within a single property, giving customers and monitoring centers greater real time awareness across large sites, multi-level buildings, and complex facilities. When activity is detected, visual and audible alerts help operators quickly identify where the event is occurring and access associated cameras for faster situational awareness and response.
Video Monitoring Portal Session Summaries: New monitoring session summaries provide greater visibility into the services being delivered across customer sites. Security companies, customers, and monitoring centers can review operator audit logs, action records, time tracking, and incident response summaries, helping teams evaluate activity patterns, improve accountability, and better understand what types of security events are occurring on a customer’s property and how often.
Camera Analytic Metadata Supervision: The performance and reliability of camera analytics is a critical component of video security. CHeKT’s new camera metadata supervision gives security companies and monitoring centers visibility into whether a camera’s analytic metadata is active, delayed, or potentially malfunctioning. This expands CHeKT’s existing video streaming supervision tools and helps ensure cameras used as security zones remain operationally reliable.
“As cameras become more commonly used as security zones, it is essential that their detection performance is actively supervised,” said David Erickson, VP of Operations for CHeKT. “Security companies are increasingly relying on cameras as alarm detection points, and ensuring those devices can properly detect and communicate activity is not optional. For CHeKT, this is an essential function of a professional video security system.”
Bulk Camera Add: As CHeKT partners scale deployments, technician efficiency becomes critical to controlling the total cost of ownership. The new bulk camera deployment workflow allows technicians and support teams to configure multiple cameras simultaneously, reducing installation time and simplifying large scale rollouts.
“The remote video monitoring market is moving beyond simple video verification,” added Usie. “Security companies need platforms that help them scale proactive services with consistency, visibility, and control. CHeKT 6.0 continues that evolution by giving dealers and monitoring centers the tools to protect more complex properties while improving the experience for operators and end users.”
The CHeKT platform combines live video, AI analytics, alarms, and automated deterrence into a unified cloud-native solution designed for proactive intervention and real-time response. With each release, CHeKT continues to expand the addressable market for proactive video monitoring and the recurring revenue its partners can build on top of the platform, advancing toward a future where video alarm monitoring becomes the standard for commercial and enterprise security.
