Axis Communications Singapore receives CSA CLS Level 4 certification

Axis Communications Singapore receives CSA CLS Level 4 certification
Axis Communications earns CSA’s highest cybersecurity certification (CLS Level 4) in Singapore, reaffirming its commitment to securing network video solutions and IoT devices
Axis Communications, a global leader in network video, has received the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore's CLS Level 4 Certification. This seal guarantees that the labelled products meet the agency's recognized and current security requirements.

The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has launched the Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS) for consumer smart devices, as part of efforts to improve IoT security, raise overall cyber hygiene levels and better secure Singapore's cyberspace. The CLS (IoT) is the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the scheme, smart devices will be rated according to their levels of cybersecurity provisions. This will enable consumers to identify products with better cybersecurity provisions and make informed decisions.

Landmark moment

Carl Malmqvist, Regional Director South Asia Pacific at Axis Communications, lauded the achievement.

“This is a landmark moment for us,” he said. “We are extremely proud to have been granted the highest certification level by the CSA.”

“At Axis, we are committed to ensuring the highest levels of cybersecurity in everything we do,” he added. “Protecting networked products and software services from cyberthreats is key to securing the data and systems on your network. The CSA CLS Level 4 certification has given unquestionable validation.”

Protecting network products and software services from cyberthreats is key to securing your network's data and systems. A compromised system can mean the loss of confidentiality and integrity of your data, or data or access can be unavailable when you need it.

Bolstering all cybersecurity links

Jade Chan, National Sales Manager, Singapore at Axis Communications, emphasized the importance of an all-hands-on-deck approach to cybersecurity.

“Cybersecurity is about products, people, technology and ongoing processes,” Chan said. “We all need to join forces to ensure that every link of the cybersecurity chain is as strong as possible.”

“In addition to our commitment to providing the best solutions to our end customers, we are also committed to aligning and working with government agencies to bring only the best to Singapore,” she added.

Therefore, Axis products are designed and manufactured with built-in cybersecurity features and protective default settings, with provisions for hardening guides.

Axis Communications continuously monitors threats and looks at ways to improve security.

As a CVE Numbering Authority, Axis responds to newly discovered vulnerabilities by patching and disclosing them so appropriate and timely action can be taken. Axis Communications is committed to securing better cyber protection together.
