i-PRO, a global leader in professional security and public safety solutions, last week announces that from October 1, 2025, its Saga factory (Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, Japan) will be positioned and operated as our core factory, starting with the production of security cameras.
The company, formerly known as Panasonic Security, will expand its system to supply high-quality Made-in-Japan products from Japan to the world.
Ramping up production
The monthly production volume will start at approximately 14,000 units, and the company aims to reach about 40,000 units by FY 2028, by promoting rationalization and automation. It is planning to gradually increase the production of security cameras and implement integrated production from component mounting to assembly and inspection starting in August next year.
Furthermore, i-PRO will promote digitalization to realize operations that deliver products within two weeks of ordering.
"In addition to Japan's technological expertise and quality, we will make this a core factory that can compete globally in terms of cost and delivery time," i-PRO Chief Manufacturing Officer Keizo Yamaguchi stated.
Integrated showroom
Additionally, Tosu City in Saga Prefecture is geographically convenient for transportation, so i-PRO will aim to turn the entire factory into a showroom, inviting customers from Japan and abroad to convey its manufacturing philosophy and uniqueness.
The Saga Factory was established in 1964 as a production base for Kyushu Matsushita Electric, which now operates as Panasonic Connect. Since 2022, i-PRO has outsourced the assembly production of security cameras for North America. Last October, when Panasonic Connect announced the closure of the Saga Factory, i-PRO continued to consider future production at the factory with CBRE, a leading commercial real-estate service provider.
Through a scheme formed by CBRE, i-PRO agreed to sign a lease agreement with Tosu Industrial Facility by the end of September 2025 and decided to conduct its own production at the factory.
