Secutech 2024, held in Taipei from Apr. 24 to 26, enters its last day as exhibitors make their final case to buyers why they should purchase their products and solutions. Missing this opportunity, they’ll have to wait another year when the show takes place May 7-9, 2025.

Smart rail

Smart rail, a major theme at this year’s show, has become more needed than ever amid shortages of manpower needed to check on rail tracks from time to time. In this regard, 3S has the solution combining their cutting-edge hardware and software that can detect objects on the track, intrusion and other irregular and abnormal events. Of note, not only can their solution detect foreign objects on the track but also the size of the object, thanks to their camera integrated with a radar. This provides further insights and situational awareness for operators.

Cutting-edge key components

Needless to say, the systems-on-chip (SoC) is a vital component inside a security camera. This is where Augentix excels in. Augentix, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Hsinchu, engineers integrated circuit designs specializing in cutting-edge multimedia signal processing and high-definition turnkey solutions. Augentix offerings range from entry-level camera solutions enabling 2MP at 30fps all the way to advanced solutions enabling 8MP at 15fps. Applications include drones, dash cams, baby cams, pet cams and sports cameras.

Indeed, key components are often overlooked, but they nevertheless play a critical role in security equipment and devices. Examples include keypads, of which Accord is a leading manufacturer. Over three decades, the company has been devoted to providing one-stop solutions with their integrative capabilities encompassing designing, mold-making and final assembly at their self-contained production line, resulting in delivery at fastest time and best prices. At this year’s Secutech, Accord takes to the show their various keypads including: standard keypads encompassing waterproof keypads, metal keypads, telephone keypads and access control keypads; custom keypads; military keypads; backlighting keypads; and silicon rubber keypads.

Tools for SIs

It goes without saying that installers and systems integrators play an indispensable role in the security industry. Helping them do their job faster and more efficiently, then, becomes key. This is where T3 Innovation comes in. The company takes to the show a range of tools targeting installers and SIs. Of note is the professional heavy duty crimper for RJ45 modular plugs. The product has a body made of zinc and handle and cover plate made with middle carbon steel. Other features include: crimp for both shielded and unfinished RJ45 plus plugs, crimp and trim in one motion, built-in lock to hold the tool in closed position when not in use, built-in cable cutter and stripper, and being ratcheted for stable and precise crimping every time. Other items on display include snap plugs as well as stranded patch cords.
