Johnson Controls has introduced a temperature measurement solution for rapid detection of elevated skin temperature to help identify potential contamination risks. The
Tyco Illustra Pro Thermal EST camera is ideal for entrances of hospitals, commercial buildings, airports, railway stations, schools and other public places that require fast and accurate detection of large flows of people, while subsequently providing a safe and frictionless experience.
The Tyco Illustra Pro Thermal EST Solution is comprised of a dual sensor (thermal and color), a camera and a temperature calibration device known as a blackbody. Advanced facial detection technology, in conjunction with the dual sensor, enables operators to see that a high forehead skin temperature has been detected by the thermal sensor, and displays the image using the color sensor. This allows the operator to identify the person(s) who have caused the alarm through the local webpage in phase 1 and with the VMS in phase 2.
The innovative technology, which detects faces and then measures the temperature of the forehead from multiple points which facilitates more accurate readings than a single hottest point screening. This results in a reduction of false alarm readings.
Use Cases
The Illustra EST solution can be installed in a wide variety of situations, from Retail environments to Transport Hubs; Education to Healthcare. The solution provides businesses, local government, health care providers the capability to fast and effectively conduct a first stage scanning of staff and visitors to establish if someone has an elevated temperature.
