One of the world's suppliers of architectural revolving doors and security entrances, Boon Edam, is introducing to Australasia new leasing plans for its globally respected ranges.

The plans – typically extending over 3-5 years – apply to both revolving doors and security entrances used in 27 countries by major corporate, computer, data center, facility management, hospitality, industrial and scientific research, tourism, retail, transport terminals, health care and government clients.

Boon Edam Australia – the local subsidiary of Royal Boon Edam – says the new entrance leasing plans for Australia and New Zealand are the first of their type here and reflect the ongoing success and innovation the company has enjoyed since establishing a full local branch Down Under.

Boon Edam Australia Managing Director Michael Fisher says the unique leasing innovation will assist clients by turning capital expenditure (CAPEX) into operating expenditure (OPEX), leaving capital finances free to invest in further worthwhile initiatives such as sustainability.

The leasing arrangements can provide a total return on investment (ROI) for security products where they replace manned security installations. They will also help CFOs and public and private facility managers to improve cash flow while reducing expenses. “In security situations, where our security products replace costly manpower, they could pay for themselves inside the lease period and the client would retain the product at the end of the lease period. So the ROI in these cases would be total and the benefits ongoing,” said Mr. Fisher.

The leases will apply to the architecturally harmonious Tourlock, Circlelock and Lifeline security ranges, which are among Boon Edam technology deployed by some of the world's biggest companies, including household names in data management and web services, as well as dozens of Fortune 500 companies and major financial and corporate facilities in Australia and New Zealand. Boon Edam's architectural revolving doors, to which the leasing plans also apply, include the Tournex, Duotour, Twintour and Tourniket ranges used, for example, in the revitalization of Melbourne's Rialto Centre and in the world's tallest building, the 828m Burj Khalifa in Dubai. They are also used in prestige facilities including Australian corporate HQs, banks, legislative facilities, clubs and private and State facilities.

“Besides the financial benefits of the new leasing plans, they also provide a response to the need for increased security in public and private facilities and protection of people and property.

“They apply, for example, to our suite of data center access security products being introduced to Australasia in response to threats to private, public and corporate information.”

In response to the need to provide high security even at times when security staff are scarce, Boon Edam Australia's latest Tourlock, Circlelock and Lifeline ranges of access security product families provide security for not only the entrances to data centers, but also can be used for company perimeters, corporate HQ entrances and designated building facility entrances, as well as other sensitive interior areas.

Boon Edam's latest products – which have evolved from market leading families of product proven in thousands of applications – are backed in the field throughout Australasia by dedicated service and security teams assembled here by Boon Edam Australia.

Examples of Boon Edam technologies (such as Tourlock, Circlelock, and Lifeline) include entries featuring high-security simultaneous bi-directional revolving doors with stereoscopic camera vision to identify and exclude threats.

“The Lifeline Series is one of Boon Edam's most versatile and useful ranges for entrance security, because it can be used in so many different scenarios, from allowing smooth and guided disability access through to multi-tiered security buildings, where high volumes of people need to be guided simultaneously to different areas,” said Mr. Fisher.

Boon Edam's Australian office is serving the growing security needs – including OEM equipment service – of facility managers, security officers and consultants, architects, specifiers and property owners here.
