Pacom Systems, a global leader in integrated security solutions that communicates over a customer’s existing IP network within a wide range of different verticals comments on the security industry in Singapore.
Singapore has not faced any major issues with economic slowdown, with many large infrastructure projects launched in the past two years, such as Changi Airport Terminal 4, and Senghang Hospital. According to Giri Ramamoorthy, Director of Pacom Systems, the country has also facilitated an opening of a logistics park in which companies have built their facilities, and some have started operation. In the commercial space, the MBFC has been by far the biggest project in the immediate past with many old low rise buildings being brought out to allow for high rise buildings in the central business district.
Positive growth can be noticed in both government and commercial sectors, with government projects taking a major share. “The Changi Jewel project has been launched which will transform the experience of people using the Changi Airport, while healthcare is a major focus, and we anticipate many projects being launched, considering the government spending in this sector,” said Ramamoorthy. Additionally, hospitality is another sector which is bound to grow considering increased tourist arrivals.
