In recent years, the security market in Singapore is growing despite flat economic growth. Public and private sectors are gaining more attention in regard to security system demands. According to Stella Neo, GM of CSO-Singapore at Bosch Security Systems, “There has been a few big development from both the private and government sector namely safe city, security enhancement in customs checkpoint, mixed development building, airports and multinational company setting its offices in Singapore. We see security market in Singapore evolving into more of value engineering of application and solution adopting IP technology in the industry. The customers are looking for new technology in the lights of integration.”
Both public and private sectors have been growing in the past few years, providing opportunities for both sectors. According to Neo, both hospitality and critical infrastructure still contribute to the trending markets of Singapore where crowds are drawn. “The transportation sector is a segment that is attractive as it provides the platform the traveler needs, and contributes to the growth of Singapore’s economy,” she added.
