Southeast Asia is growing in importance on the global stage, with a combined population rivalling China, India and the U.S., and rapidly rising in affluence. The increased mobility of skills, goods and services through the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) will see the region increase in global competitiveness and attractiveness when it come into fruition. This bodes well for Bosch, as a global supplier of technology, in establishing the region as a single manufacturing hub for global demands. We remain optimistic of the region's ability to weather economic storms, Malaysia's journey toward realizing the AEC, and its economic position within the community.

We plan to make further inroads and expand our network to cover a wider geographical area, especially in the East Coast region of peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. We also intend to venture deeper into the transportation sector, such as the upcoming mass rapid transport (MRT) projects; education and hospitality are also important verticals for us as there is huge demand for professional sound and security systems. We would also like to venture into the oil and gas sector in the near future.

Our business is conducted through our local distributors, and our main strategy is to create closer relationships with our dealers and end users. By raising security awareness, we forge stronger ties with local distributors, government agencies, corporations as well as end users. We also advise and recommend solutions to our customers, demonstrating that Bosch offers a holistic security solution that improves lives and protects buildings and assets. To date, we have a total of 43 certified partners that include distributors and system integrators. We intend to continually expand this network to increase our geographical reach.

We conduct seminars and training regularly to our customers and dealers. Training topics include security policies, personal security as well as technological advancements in security systems. We also participate in trade events that involve our end users. Through these seminars and events, we hope to generate greater awareness on the importance of quality security systems that ensure community safety in general.
