A monorail project connecting Serpong and Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Banten province is estimated to cost up to US$1.4 billion. The government of Banten has teamed up with Petras Indonesia, through Banten Global Development, to establish joint venture Banten Monorel hat will develop and operate the monorail.
The construction, spanning 40 kilometers and 13 stations, shall take three years to complete after groundbreaking in August 2014.
