Leaders of China and Indonesia have agreed to achieve US$80 billion in bilateral trade by 2015, and issued a joint statement.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said the goal is expected to be realized through strong, balanced, sustainable growth of bilateral trade, as China is now Indonesia's second largest trading partner. President Xi Jinping reaffirmed that China will continue encouraging Chinese enterprises to participate in Indonesia's infrastructural developments, particularly those covered by the Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development 2011-2015, to which both sides agreed to further explore seaport and airport developments.

The two leaders agreed to actively implement the China-Indonesia Five-Year Development Program for Trade and Economic Cooperation, recognizing the mutual benefit of deeper industrial collaboration with the establishment of integrated industrial parks in Indonesia.

According to another news report on Xinhuanet, China Development Bank will invest in Indonesia's OKI Pulp and Paper Mills, while other Chinese companies and financial institutions will invest in coal mining, utilities and aluminum smelters.

Moreover, state-owned Industrial and Commercial Bank of China signed a deal to lease air jets to Indonesia's flag carrier. As said in the joint statement, the two countries will enhance connectivity through direct links by sea, air and digital communication.
