Coming from the long standing solid base of electronic industry with the leading role for mobile power solutions, Ahoku is up to date to new inventions in related areas. With smart home solutions Ahoku already caught up to the next stage and now is emerging to a front fighter in the promising future of connected healthcare in smart home.

Ahoku has more than 30 years competence in providing professional power supply and control devices including surge protector, universal travel adapter, converter, and USB charger. Christine Lee, in charge of the Digital Life Department, explained that Ahoku identified smart home security surveillance, especially indoor baby monitoring, already in early stage to show a clear requirement and demand in the market. As a result the company has started engaging in IoT solutions and joined smart home market in 2015 with its easy-to-use vivid wireless Wi-Fi cameras, connecting busy parents all the time remotely with their beloved children and pets.

As the population of the elders grows, healthcare and independent living concept is emerging in smart home application and various government policies, Ahoku is currently developing IoT devices with its international cooperation partners. The disruptive home-care solution can be expected later this year.

According to Lee, Ahoku will continue focusing North America and European smart home market in home security and power management sections. “AI assistant will be the drivers of connected devices. Ahoku has our products compatible with AI assistants, providing a wider possibility for home scenario control and customized expansion,” said Lee. Ready to step into wireless homecare solutions while retaining foothold in security and power fields, Ahoku expects to meet a broader consumer market at CES 2018 with its handy product series.
