Home automation provider URC recently announced the release of the Amazon Alexa Smart Home Skill that is compatible with URC’s smart home system in the U.S. market.
This development enables a wide range of control possibilities with Alexa-enabled devices such as the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Amazon Fire TV. The skill is designed to fully integrate Alexa-enabled devices with URC’s smart home system Total Control.
The integration allows homeowners to use basic voice commands to execute a set of programmed instructions – a revolutionary change in the way Total Control users can enjoy their smart home system, URC says.

This popular new integration is designed to elevate the Total Control experience for new and existing voice control technology users. Homeowners can select TV programs, activate music systems, raise and lower shades, adjust thermostats – and even turn on or off their whole home with intuitive voice commands. Virtually any Total Control instructions can be controlled via voice with the URC Amazon Alexa integration.
