PKinno smart door lock supports Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi
PKinno launched its first smart door lock based on NFC technology in 2014. The user can also unlock with a key fob or by entering a code. Following the launch, the company further incorporated other protocols like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in its next generation smart door locks.

Other than selling own-brand door lock solutions, PKinno also provides customisable OEM/ODM services, and customers can choose which protocols they want in the lock. The company is largely focused on export business, with its largest export market being the US market. JJ Huang, director of product planning division at PKinno, said that the company expects to expand into the European market as its next step.

One of the latest smart door locks by PKinno showcased at the SMAhome Expo 2015 has embedded Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi modules. The company also offers smart door locks with only Bluetooth and NFC modules. By using PKinno’s Bluetooth to Wi-Fi gateway plugged into the wall, the user can add Wi-Fi functionality while conserving battery power for the smart door lock.
