Network solution provider D-Link recently announced the availability of three new HD Wi-Fi cameras with cloud recording capability and the new mydlink app that enables easy setup for users.
Designed for a number of home monitoring needs, the HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8010LH-US), Full HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8300LH-US) and Full HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8525LH-US) offer various features, including cloud recording options and integration with Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant and IFTTT.
The first model has an embedded microphone, while the latter two supports 2-way audio. All the three models support 16-feet night vision, and sound and motion detection.
To create a more user-friendly connected home experience, D-Link has created a new mydlink app which allows users to set up and manage their cameras with a mobile phone. D-Link users can watch the live view of their cameras from anywhere and receive triggered alerts when sound or motion is detected. The new app allows for a more simplified setup process using Bluetooth connection.
Free local recording via a microSD card as well as the option to use cloud recording – with various subscription options – are offered to provide comprehensive surveillance. With the free version, 24 hours of video clip will be stored. With the Basic, Premium and Pro version, seven, 14 and 30 days of video clips will be stored, respectively. AES 128-bit encryption is supported to ensure secure data transmission.
Using the mydlink app, homeowners may also control other devices at home. The app can connect to the Wi-Fi Smart Plug (DSP-W115) that is plugged with various home electronics. The plug may be triggered to turn or off by certain events, or based on a preset schedule. Multiple plugs may be installed to enable a scene.
The HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8010LH-US) will be sold for US$59.99, the Full HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8300LH-US) for US$89.99 and the Full HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-8525LH-US) for US$99.99
