Fibaro, an innovative smart home solution company, recently presented a centralized automation system in a press event in Taipei, showcasing how it can wirelessly turn on appliances like air conditioner and TV with voice command.

The system is compatible with Apple HomeKit and Google Home, thus grants homeowners the power to give voice commands like “Hey Siri, turn on the living room TV” or “OK Google, open the door.”

The system is easy to use and gives wireless control to every family members, Fibaro says in a press release. Once connected to the smart home system, everything from lights, stereo, to curtains and door locks, can be easily controlled by the user.

With the HomeKit compatibility, all the devices can be controlled via iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. Alternatively, homeowners may get the Google Home speaker to dictate their command.

Another use scenario is that while driving and before reaching home, a user can say to his or her iPhone, “Hey Siri, turn the home mode on.” The Fibaro system will then adjust the lighting and indoor temperature, test air quality and humidity, play the music, and activate other home appliances.

The alternative receiver system, Google Home, has its merits too. Placed inside the house, users can easily turn on Karaoke or theater systems. Since it automates an otherwise complex procedure, this function is especially useful to the elderly and children.

Fibaro is a Europe based smart home brand that has won CES and iF Design awards. Its products and services have been sold in more than 100 countries around the world.

Fibaro has two systems tailored for the smart home setting. The professional version just presented relies on Z-Wave transmission and is already available in the market.

The Bluetooth version, which is scheduled to be launched in the second quarter, also meets the HomeKit standard. Users will be able to control devices via the Fibaro app or Home app on their iOS device. Users may also control their HomeKit devices remotely via an Apple TV at home.
