In need of enhanced security and the possibility to remotely monitor the Crama AVINCIS estate, inside and out, the owners decided to deploy a complete surveillance solution to help resurrected the local wine tradition.
Solution
Villa Dobruşa and its vineyard cover a rather large area. To improve security, Crama AVINCIS needed a professional surveillance solution capable of surveying the wine cellar, the annexed buildings, the family house and their surroundings. The Crama AVINCIS management selected a system that includes 34 surveillance cameras and an NVR
AXIS Camera Station S1032 Mk II to store the recordings. Outside cameras were used for the larger part of the deployment, as they are resilient against shock, low temperatures and corrosive environments.
Cameras equipped with varifocal lens were needed, as they have zoom and remote focus options, as well as large angle coverage, performant IR sensors, and are resilient in high humidity and low temperatures.
Result
Choosing the Axis solution, Crama AVINCIS achieved a perfect tool for efficient, remote monitoring of important spaces and perimeters. The selected cameras and the option for distance management provide valuable help in establishing a prevention system that allows fast responses to potential security breaches. As a secondary advantage, the Axis solutions is fully scalable for future system developments.
Crama AVINCIS continues a family story that began in 1927, when Maria and Iancu Râmniceanu bought Villa Dobrusa, a Brancoveanu-architectural style estate surrounded by vineyards in Drăgăşani. In 2007, Cristina Stoica, the Râmniceanu’s granddaughter and her husband, Valeriu Stoica, returned to the family domain and resurrected the local wine tradition.
The Axis solution that Crama AVINCIS chose is made of 34 surveillance cameras positioned to ensure complete surveillance. The solution required cameras to monitor perimeter areas around the buildings, the access gate, the outside of the villa and annex buildings. At the same time, Crama AVINCIS needed surveillance for inside areas, including the wine cellar, the warehousing area, and the production and raw material processing areas.
Outside, a combined solution of four AXIS
M2025-LE Network Cameras for surveying the outside perimeter of the wine cellar, four AXIS P3225-LVE placed outside the villa and eight AXIS P1425-LE Mk II for monitoring the side areas of the buildings were implemented.
AXIS M2025-LE Network Cameras were chosen because of their excellent night performance, 115- degree viewing angle, and enhanced resilience in special temperature and humidity conditions. AXIS P1425-LE Mk II were chosen for the surveillance of open spaces, as they each have a performant IR sensor, able to provide clear images under the least favorable light conditions. Last but not least, AXIS P3225-LVE dome type camera benefits from a varifocal objective, an IR sensor, and protection against mechanical shock.
For the inside, three AXIS Q3505-VE cameras were placed in the production area, as they are ideal due to their 60fps recording capabilities, their remote zoom option, and their high resilience against mechanical shocks (IK 10+ standard). In the warehousing area, AXIS Q3505-SVE Mk II model was chosen, and AXIS M2025-LE was deployed for the reception area and for the server room.
AXIS Q3505-SVE Mk II is one of the best performing cameras on the market, as it is specially crafted for resilience in corrosive environments. The model is resilient against weathering and vandalism, and due to its stainless steel shell it is especially resilient against any kind of corrosive material, including salt water and chemical compounds.
The solution is completed by a dedicated server, AXIS Camera Station S1032 Mk II, with 12TB storage capacity. This camera station was chosen because it comes with the preinstalled software needed for performant surveillance, so that the deployment, management and service are all quickly and easily achieved. AXIS S1032 is capable of supporting up to 48 surveillance cameras.
This security system is used to monitor activity and to ensure a proper level of security. In the near future, the system will be adapted further to meet all of Crama AVINCIS requirements.
