Seagate Technology reports fiscal third quarter 2018 financial results
Seagate Technology reported financial results for the quarter ended March 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the Company reported revenue of $2.8 billion, gross margin of 30.2%, net income of $381 million and diluted earnings per share of $1.31.
Seagate Technology reported financial results for the quarter ended March 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the Company reported revenue of $2.8 billion, gross margin of 30.2%, net income of $381 million and diluted earnings per share of $1.31. On a non-GAAP basis, which excludes the net impact of certain items, Seagate reported gross margin of 30.8%, net income of $424 million and diluted earnings per share of $1.46.  

During the third quarter, the Company generated $558 million in cash flow from operations and $489 million in free cash flow. Year to date, the Company has generated approximately $1.6 billion in cash flow from operations and approximately $1.4 billion in free cash flow. Cash and cash equivalents totaled approximately $2.9 billion at the end of the quarter. There were 287 million ordinary shares issued and outstanding as of the end of the quarter.
