Pivot3, the technology leader of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions, announced its vSTAC platform is now certified with VMware Horizon Cloud to provide customers with virtualized desktops that combine the simplicity and rapid deployment of the cloud with the security and control of on-premises infrastructure.
Horizon Cloud with on-premises infrastructure enables the unified management of on-premises virtual desktops and applications through a single-cloud control plane. When combined with Pivot3’s innovative HCI solutions, the service delivers plug-and-play simplicity so customers can rapidly deploy virtual desktops and applications to thousands of users in less than an hour, all while improving user productivity and minimizing infrastructure complexity and costs.
“Our customers prioritize lowering costs, increasing productivity and increasing the speed of application delivery,” said Mike Koponen, senior director, product and solutions marketing, Pivot3. “Pivot3’s collaboration with VMware will help our mutual customers achieve these goals and leverage the best of both worlds – on-premises infrastructure combined with cloud management – providing the flexibility and scalability needed to accelerate the journey to the software-defined data center.”
“We are pleased to have Pivot3 join our growing Horizon Cloud partner ecosystem,” said Courtney Burry, senior director, product marketing, end-user computing, VMware. “Pivot3 complements Horizon Cloud’s innovative approach to delivering virtual desktops and applications, with its leading efficiencies, predictable scalability and performance. With Pivot3, IT organizations can deploy Horizon Cloud with on-premises infrastructure that performs optimally, scales predictably, and can lower the total infrastructure footprint.”
