Security is crystal clear for Swarovski with Salto

Established in 1895, Swarovski is the leading global producer of cut crystal and is represented in more than 120 countries around the world. When it came to security, the Swarovski store in Sydney, Australia, selected Bells Locksmiths to install Salto’s XS4 Mini access control solution.

Located in Pitt Street Mall, a pedestrianised section of Pitt Street in Sydney’s central business district and one of Australia's busiest, most cosmopolitan shopping precincts, the newly opened store wanted to secure access to its back of house store room.

As a business retailing exclusive, high-value merchandise, the company wanted a comprehensive access control solution that would protect its premises and property as well as contribute to reducing shrinkage. Given that over 35 percent of annual stock losses across the retail sector as a whole are caused by theft and fraud by staff, controlling access to ensure only authorised personnel are admitted to stock areas is vital.
