Both apps now support Touch ID login and will receive camera audio from any VMAX IP Plus NVR. The update rolls out automatically to all supported devices that already have the apps installed.

Video surveillance solutions have access to sensitive data and as such should always be protected with a username and password. With Apple’s recent updates and improvements to their Touch ID identification system, iOS apps now seamlessly use fingerprints as a password and access verification. Following the initial setup and confirmation, users can access the app, log in to sites and monitor your systems by simply pressing your finger Digital Watchdog Press Release to the device’s home button. The Touch ID sensor will read the fingerprint and automatically unlock the app and connections.
In addition to the new Touch ID security, the latest app updates support incoming audio from cameras being managed by VMAX IP Plus NVRs. Any IP camera assigned to the VMAX IP Plus with video and audio capabilities will be available in the mobile apps. By tapping on the MENU button in the app interface, audio in can be enabled for a selected channel. The incoming audio streaming, combined with the VMAX IP Plus’ high-resolution real-time video streaming capabilities, allows you to monitor locations instantaneously on an iPhone or iPad, hearing as well as seeing events as they develop.
