Dahua Technology presents Penta-Brid Recorder
Dahua Technology USA is proud to announce its next-generation penta-brid XVR, a high-performing recorder that supports the five most popular industry standards—HDCVI, AHD, HD-TVI, CVBS, and IP.

The latest Dahua Ultra Series HDCVI 3.0 recorder series, now expanded to 4 and 8SATA models, can record and monitor video from both analog and IP camera inputs simultaneously. The Dahua HDCVI 3.0 XVR also features Smart H.264+ codec dual-stream video compression that saves up to 70 percent on bandwidth and storage, and delivers advanced options such as built-in motion detection algorithms and customized recording modes. XVR technology is an ideal option for monitoring and recording video feeds in a wide range of applications including public venues, retail stores, transportation hubs, and educational settings.

“XVR technology is a flexible, affordable solution to upgrade outdated video surveillance systems while leveraging existing networks, cabling, and cameras,” said Jennifer Hackenburg, senior product marketing manager, Dahua Technology USA. “With simple plug-and-play installation, HDCVI 3.0 offers exceptional value by offering broad compatibility with many technologies, including a combination of HDCVI and IP cameras.”

Providing outstanding flexibility, the XVRs are available in both 16- and 32-channel models. The X24A3, X34, and X38 offer 16 penta-brid channels plus 8 IP channels, supporting up to 5MP per channel with a maximum 96 mbps incoming bandwidth. The X24A5 and X28 offer 32 penta-brid channels with options for 16 IP channels, also supporting up to 5MP per channel, with a maximum 64 mbps incoming bandwidth.

The latest Dahua Ultra Series HDCVI 3.0 recorder series, now expanded to 4 and 8SATA models, can record and monitor video from both analog and IP camera inputs simultaneously.

The XVRs offer a variety of configurable recording options that can be programmed to record if motion is detected or an alarm is triggered, saving space on the build-in hard drive. The XVRs can also be programmed to record on schedule or at different time intervals, which can be customized for individual cameras or copied to all cameras.

The XVR boasts additional features to improve the user experience and improve efficiency of installation and surveillance. It auto-detects the camera format, automatically recognizing the incoming signals of each attached camera to simplify installation and operation. It provides standard intelligence at the edge, including facial detection and detection of abandoned or missing objects, and supporting tripwire analytics to detect when a pre-determined line has been crossed. Smart Search lets the operator specify a region in the playback video to search for a motion detection event, saving time and manpower.

While finding a compatible recording device has long been a problem when it comes to migrating older coax cable systems to today’s higher resolution cameras, Dahua’s XVR provides a powerful and user-friendly solution. Innovative products like these are part of why Dahua is proven the world over.
