AMAG Technology has officially released Symmetry CompleteView Video Management software v4.6.1. Symmetry CompleteView v4.6.1 is compatible with the Symmetry product portfolio which delivers a state-of-the-art integrated solution for access control and video management. The new software release provides several new enhancements that improve functionality.
Symmetry CompleteView v4.6.1 now has a new decoding engine that increases performance at the server, resulting in cost saving benefits such as the ability to land more cameras per server or reduce CPU utilization at the server for the same number of cameras.
Symmetry TouchView Mobile Applications for Android and iOS platforms now support HTTPS providing the added benefits of authenticity, privacy, and security as VMS data transmission is encrypted to and from the Symmetry CompleteView v4.6.1 Web server.
To shorten incident response times, Symmetry CompleteView v4.6.1 Web Client includes enhancements made to the Quick Review functionality as part of the Live View video display enabling users to easily review recently recorded events within a 30 second to 10 minute range, and then return directly back to the camera's live feed.
As the company continues to build upon Symmetry CompleteView's intuitive operator interfaces, users now have the ability from the web client UI to save PTZ Presets by user defined names for easy reference when calling a PTZ camera to a saved preset.
Drastically reduce the risk of lost video due to HDD failure as Symmetry's enterprise level PowerProtect NVRs (PowerPlus, PowerUltra, and PowerDAS (Direct Attached Storage)) now all support RAID 6 storage configurations with optional hot spare (back up hard drive(s)). With the added protection of RAID 6, video storage can survive two drives failing at the same time, or one drive failing and then a second drive failing during the data rebuild. This is available in North America only.
Extend video retention time periods as 12 TB in-box storage configurations are now available with the entry level PowerProtect NVRs (PowerChoice mid-tower and PowerChoice LP 1U rack mount) in North America only.
Symmetry CV Spotlight now supports Axis A8004 Network Video Door Station, an audiovisual entry control product that allows users to identify via video, verify via audio, and remotely open doors. The bi-directional audio support works well in organizations that expect visitors, but cannot man doors 24/7. With Symmetry CV Spotlight, videos automatically pop up on your Windows laptop or client workstation when there is an alarm or event.
"As continuous enhancements are made to AMAG's Symmetry Security Management System as a unified solution, we have added the time saving benefit of providing the ability to instantaneously import all cameras with user friendly names assigned to a Symmetry CompleteView video server into the Symmetry Access Control System with one click of the mouse," said AMAG Technology, Senior Product Manager, Jim Murray.
