Genetec, a provider of open-architecture, unified IP security solutions, announces that it has began the shipping of the new version of its Turnkey Network Security Appliance, the SV-32 v2. Available immediately to certified members of the Genetec Channel Partner Program and end users around the world, SV-32 v2 is a turnkey solution that enables organizations to deploy a unified or standalone IP/Analog video surveillance and access control system while maintaining their existing investments in analog infrastructure.

With built-in analog encoder cards, the SV-32 v2 offers a cost-effective solution to integrate legacy analog cameras as part of an IP transition plan. Pre-installed with the Genetec Security Center platform, the SV-32 v2 appliance allows for the consolidation of multiple remote sites within a single security environment, while supporting a wide range of future-proof IP cameras and door controllers to suit various deployments needs.

Ideally suited for institutions that have already made significant investments in analog cameras over the years such as banking and retail organizations, the SV-32 v2 can support up to 32 analog or IP cameras and 100 Access Control readers on each unit.

The SV-32 v2 doubles as a client workstation, providing a unified view of video and access control events locally on up to two monitors, allowing operators to rapidly respond to any incident. Powerful search and reporting tools help accelerate investigations. Operators can verify cardholder pictures against live or recorded video associated to access control events for doors within the system, and automatically trigger alarms based on video and access control events.

Using the Security Center Mobile application, SV-32 v2 users can view their system and receive real-time alarms on their Android, Apple and Windows Phone devices, regardless of their location. Security personnel can also view live and recorded video, control PTZ cameras, lock/unlock doors, and receive real time alarms and access control events, effectively expanding their capability to react to incidents.

Leveraging Security Center Federation capabilities, the SV-32 allows customers to easily deploy Security Center access control and/or video systems across distributed locations, facilitating multi-site monitoring and centralized security operations.
