Geutebruck protects Kunsthalle Emden museum in Northern Gremany

The Kunsthalle Emden is one of the most beautiful museums in northern Germany. Henri Nannen and his wife Eske invested not just their love of art, but their fortune as well. In 1986, the STERN founder and passionate collector donated his art collection of classical modernism to his hometown. In order to create the right setting, he dedicated his entire personal fortune for the construction of the museum. To ensure that this value is secure, Geutebruck protects this project with its video solutions.

His decisions were never arbitrary, but rather were driven by passion, Henri Nannen once explained. This passion for paintings is infectious, making the Kunsthalle into a vital meeting place for people and art. This is often associated with an interactive form of art education, "Active Art": Numerous events and workshops give art lovers of all ages the opportunity to approach art in a practical manner. Children are especially welcome. "Children who come into contact with art at an early age are given a gift for their entire lifetime," says Eske Nannen, managing director of the Kunsthalle Emden.

Katharina Geutebruck, Managing Director of Geutebruck GmbH, agrees wholeheartedly. This is another reason why Geutebruck technology protects the exhibition spaces, the foyer, the atrium and the shop. The video system works closely together with the control center and staff in the exhibition rooms. It is also combined with so-called "picture alarms", sensors that monitor the exhibition pieces.

When an alarm is triggered, the camera image of the concerned art object is automatically activated, making it possible for the employees to react quickly.

In general, it is sufficient to request visitors to respect the safe distance. In case of damage, the tamper-proof stored images provide important evidence. Another advantage: They are recognized in court.

Eske Nannen: "The video installations from Geutebruck GmbH enjoy an excellent reputation worldwide. Because security is a key issue for the Kunsthalle Emden, we rely on Geutebruck technology to protect our precious collection. We are very grateful that Geutebruck has advised us so competently and supported us so generously."
