Vista has announced the release of new, industry-first IP monitors, designed to remotely display images on an IP system without the need for a PC or client software.
Until now, the standard solution to remotely display images on an IP system has been to use an analogue camera looped through a monitor and into an encoder, which results in a lower resolution D1 image. The new 24” and 32” IP networked monitors from Vista have an in-built hardware decoder and can display high-definition, 1080p video from a single stream or four D1 streams from separate cameras in quad format.
Focused on the user experience, they are extremely simple to set up via a mouse-driven GUI. Because they're based on ONVIF, they decode streams from the Vista range of IP cameras as well as 3rd party cameras – providing the user with the greatest flexibility possible.
