TeleEye has just received award as “Best Crime Preventive Product” from the Hong Kong Security Association (HKSA). Organised by HKSA, the Annual Security Awards 2013/14 are separated into four categories.TeleEye had entered nominations under the Category 4 – Best Crime Preventive Product of the Year for Video Surveillance Product. Entries were judged based on product innovation, uniqueness, potential applications and the benefits to users.
TeleEye MX975-HD IR vari-focal IP camera met all requirements and was eventually selected by a judging panel composed of all the Executive Committee Members who co-presented prestigious awards.
“With numerous of high caliber entries this year, the competition was strong and it is a significant achievement for TeleEye to have been honored by the Association,” said Prof. Cliff Chan, Chief Executive Officer, TeleEye Holdings Ltd. “Nowadays most IP cameras are designed to support open standard protocols and H.264 codec where the configuration is available for anyone or even hackers. This vulnerability threatens banks, retail stores and public utilities. But in TeleEye, our IP cameras are designed with 5 layers of anti-hacking protection against impermissible invasion,” Prof. Chan added. “Our R&D team put a lot of effort to design high quality IP cameras. Incorporated with our hacker resistant technology, TeleEye helps industries increase security level and as a result of crime prevention.” Prof. Chan concluded.
