A country with a smaller security market and without many big name players, his company, Megapar Ingenieria, is one of the few that sources products into Paraguay.
Mr. Julio Daniel Arrua, a distributor and a systems integrator hailing from Paraguay made his first trip to Secutech 2014 over the last three days. A country with a smaller security market and without many big name players, his company, Megapar Ingenieria, is one of the few that sources products into Paraguay.
Looking for product sourcing from the Asian sector, Mr. Arrua hopes to find low priced inventory without sacrificing quality. Already sourcing access controls and time attendance devices from China, he still believes that Chinese companies still fall behind Taiwan and Korea in terms of quality.
One of the biggest advantages for Paraguay lies in its location. Literally right between countries like Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia, it presents a convenient area for market saturation and import/exports. Relatively new players in the security industry, the infrastructure and the market have not had time to fully develop yet. Indeed, for the SIs in Paraguay, a large portion of contracts comes from the government.
