Universal Protection Service, a division of Universal Services of America and one of the largest providers of security services in the U.S. announced that they have acquired IPC International. Founded by Howard L. Kaplan more than 35 years ago, IPC International set the standard, meeting the protection needs of more than 450 properties worldwide.

Universal Protection Service is the 5th largest security company in the U.S. Universal Protection Service is a division of Universal Services of America, which includes Universal Building Maintenance, Universal Protection Security Systems and Universal Fire/Life Safety Services. Founded by Howard L. Kaplan more than 35 years ago, IPC International set the standard, meeting the protection needs of more than 450 properties worldwide.

The largest acquisition Universal has ever completed and it is very strategic as Universal Protection Service currently employs over 35,000 security officers throughout 47 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This acquisition will strengthen Universal's already solid management group.
