Indus Net Technologies initiative brings ATM security into the future

Indus Net Technologies initiative brings ATM security into the future
Indus Net Technologies has taken an initiative to start a campaign called 'Need for Safety'. The mission of this campaign is empowering people. "We all need to work towards generating mass awareness and ensure a better place for each of us, where each of us can move and live safely without fear.” says Mr.Abhishek Rungta, CEO of Indus Net Technologies.

Jyoti Uday, the ATM kiosk attack victim who was caught haplessly without security at an unguarded State Government run ATM, has been fighting for her life for the two days. Despite loss of blood for more than three hour, the victim is still critical condition.

An armed, unidentified miscreant attacked the victim brutally with a machete and robbed all her valuables. Shockingly, it took nearly three hours for the victim to be rescued by someone. The irony is Jyoti is a banker operating her own bank ATM at Hudson Circle Bangalore.

It was the CCTV footage of the entire act that evoked widespread revulsion, an incident that directly points towards the shocking lack of security not only in Bangalore but across the country as well. A number of ATMs operating in different parts of the country have neither armed guards nor alarm systems for emergency situations. Mere CCTV cameras alone do not prevent rogues from attack and theft of ATM. This vehement ATM robbery case is a sheer indication of the lack of safety and security at the ATMs all across the country.
