Lien Khuong International Airport is the largest among the four airports of Lam Dong province in Central Highlands, Vietnam. The airport is located in Duc Trong District and was built in 1933. Since 1975, the airport has served civil service flights with Ho Chi Minh City, and from 2004, the airport has served as an air link with Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport. In 2009, major reconstruction to handle bigger aircraft was completed with a new 12,400 square metre passenger terminal being inaugurated on December 26, 2009. The new two-level terminal is capable of receiving 1.5 to 2 million passengers each year, enabling the airport to serve international flights with countries like Singapore, South Korea, Laos, and Cambodia.
Business Objective:
Southern Airports Corporation (SAC) is responsible for the construction of the infrastructure for aviation in Vietnam. The challenge faced by the SAC was that their previous Public Address system and Security system had used a combination of products from different manufacturers which created many systemic problems, and this in turn greatly disrupted the smooth operation at Lien Khuong International Airport as well as the reputation of the SAC.
Solution:
With their expertise in PA and CCTV systems, Bosch was able to convince the SAC to install new PA and CCTV systems with products from Bosch's dedicated series of Plena Public Address system and Auto-Dome and Dinion CCTV camera systems to better serve their customers.
Result:
The SAC acknowledged that the new PA and CCTV systems from Bosch have performed beyond their expectations by proving their versatility, reliability, excellent clarity, and ease of use, thus highly contributing to the effectiveness of Lien Khuong International Airport's daily operation.
