Vivint, the largest home automation (HA) services provider in North America, is helping consumers keep their children safe this summer.

Now that summer is here, kids are spending more time around their neighborhoods and in and around the house. Especially for parents that work, it can be difficult to keep an eye on things and know the kids are safe at all times. But thanks to HA features like security, cameras and remote access, Vivint systems can let parents see exactly what's happening at home and know their children are safe.

All Vivint equipment is monitored 24/7 by the company's monitoring center, and consumers can also view live video feed or saved clips of their homes right from their smartphones. Homeowners can feel confident that this system is not only affordable, but simple. Even children who are home alone can use any Vivint product and arm and disarm the security system. The "Vivint Live" two-way voice feature also ensures parents that a monitoring professional will respond immediately if the system is triggered in the event of an emergency.

Brian Smiley, in particular, appreciates this benefit of the system. He uses Vivint to manage his Minneapolis home remotely and check up on the kids during the summer, but he also loves the system's kid-friendly design. "My youngest child had a hard time managing our last security system," Smiley recalled, "and she was always worried about setting off the alarm. But with the Vivint system, she's been a lot more confident in her ability to use the system.
