The 15th edition of Secutech, held from 18 – 20 April at Nangang Taipei World Trade Center, Taipei, attracted a record 532 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions and more than 25,000 visitors from 97 countries and regions.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, the event is Asia's largest international exhibition and conference for the electronic security, info security, fire and safety industry sectors. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the exhibition is no longer just a sourcing fair, but a center of innovation and a propeller of industry development spreading across more than 35,000 sqm. Secutech, a long-time industry observer and promoter, was taking on an even more proactive role this year in catalysing the chemistry and facilitating strategic partnerships between orginal manufacturers and security buyers from around the world.

Commenting on the show, Mr. Parson Lee, Managing Director for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business said this is an unique security exhibition for global security manufacturing. No other show like Secutech caters to the full supplying chain of the industry. It offers lens, image sensor, the DSP and codec to the integrated solutions for various applications in Taipei, the heart of East Asia and one of the hubs for global electronics manufacturing. Mr. Lee was happy to see an increased number of international brands at the show. These included Axis, Axxon, Bosch, Brickcom, Dahua, Draeger, Everfocus, Hikvision, Honeywell, LILIN, Seagate and Vivotek. “This proves that the show is an important event that should not be missed by those in the industry,” he added.

Making its debut at the show was the Vehicle Security Zone which was well received by visitors and exhibitors such as Huvitech Co Ltd, a Korean vehicle security products supplier. “Our booth attracted many visitors,” said Mr. Doora Lee, the company's Manager for Export Sales. “We targeted to sell our car security products to European buyers and we met a lot of them during the show.”

Axxon, a Russian video surveillance and security solutions brand has exhibited many times at Secutech. “This is the most important show in the world,” said Mr. Murat Altuev, Axxon's President. “It is also the biggest security show in Southeast Asia and as Axxon is developing in this region, the show is our first priority.”

Mr. Michael Chen, Vice President for Zhejiang Dahua Technology, a Chinese surveillance manufacturer, agrees that Secutech is an important show. “It is a good platform to show products and new technology, as well as to network,” he explained. “I am happy to see different products here and to have a chance to share experiences with exhibitors from Japan, Korea and Taiwan.”
