Sentry View Systems (“Sentry View”) announces proud support of the CAFE Foundation's Green Flight Challenge, sponsored by NASA and Google, which took place September 26 through October 3rd at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport and NASA's Moffett Field in California.

Sentry View provided around-the-clock video surveillance to protect and monitor the participating aircraft at the competition airfield with one of their SentryPOST solutions. In keeping with the aviation competition's theme of naturally sustainable and efficient propulsion technologies, Sentry View was able to keep a green eye on the participating aircraft and surrounding airport grounds. This feat was accomplished with a surveillance and lighting technology that operates purely on solar and wind generated power and requires no connection to grid or generator-produced power.

“Sentry View was a valued partner with a sensible, impressive solution to our needs,” noted CAFE Board Member Bruno Mombrinie. “They quickly deployed a comprehensive system that provided much needed surveillance for the participating teams who worked countless hours preparing their aircraft for the competition. Sentry View provided confidence and peace of mind to all participants.”

“The SentryPOST and related portable solution, SentryPOINT, were natural additions to our existing line of ruggedized surveillance and communications solutions we currently deliver to secure critical DoD sites,” commented Sentry View's CEO, Dick Nichols. “Assisting security managers with the deployment of remote sensing and security technologies that don't require grid infrastructure, trenching, cabling or fossil fuels makes sense not only from a sustainability perspective but also importantly from an economic one.”
