The GIMS inventory control system will interface with a White Conveyors U-Pick-It System to provide 24-hour automated uniform distribution to the property's 3,500 uniformed team members. Plans call for the new uniform inventory tracking system to be fully operational in September 2011.

Staff members only have to present their employee ID card to an RFID reader and the system will place a clean uniform in their hands in less than a minute.”

The GIMS UHF-RFID tracking systems is able to scan, inventory, and generate reports for entire carts of uniforms at one time because UHF-RFID antennas read at a greater distance than legacy systems. This creates a huge efficiency boost for the labor-intensive job of hand counting and manual recordkeeping.
