More than 100 exhibitors showcased their latest security, fire and safety products at Secutech Vietnam 2011. The show was held from August 24 to 26 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City.
Co-organized by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media and VIETFAIR, the show, held in the heart of the ASEAN region, attracted exhibitors from China, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, the US and Vietnam. The show attracted over 4,000 visitors, according to preliminary figures.

Most are from the security and fire safety industry, while other buyers are end users.” According to last year's statistics, nearly 60 percent of visitors were decision makers and this reinforced that the show is a professional platform for the security and fire safety industries.
More than 500 products and technologies catering to different vertical markets, from entry level to high-tech equipment, were on display. The product categories are video surveillance, access control & alarm and fire prevention products. Among the exhibitors are leading brands such as Axis Communications, Avigilon, Bosch Security Systems, Basler, Honeywell Security, Fujifilm, NVT, Panasonic Systems Asia Pacific, Motorola, Patton, Sony Corporation and Tamron. The show also welcomed D&M, Dals Korea, Kocom, Pentabridge Pixelplus, Ronix and Remote Security from Korea, as well as 3S Pocketnet, Brainchild, CView. Taiwanese exhibitors included iCatch, Merit LILIN, Ubinet and Vivotek. In addition, local Vietnamese brands CITEK, iON, DAKAO, Le Phat, Silver Sea, Techpro, Van Tech and VTech were on display.
One of Secutech Vietnam's highlights was the first-ever IP Camera Demonstration in Vietnam. This live demonstration of different IP cameras, hosted by exhibitors, gave visitors a better understanding of IP camera functions and the chance to compare performance.
Four seminars were held during Secutech Vietnam. The Global Digital Surveillance Forum Vietnam took place August 24 to 25 and includes case studies and an introduction to IP hardware as well as software applications. World-class security solution providers taking part include Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems, Hikvision, Motorola, Patton, Panasonic and Vivotek.
The Fire & Safety Seminar was held on August 24 and focused on the rising awareness of fire and safety and effective fire solutions. Government officials will present laws and regulations and fire and safety leaders will share their experiences.
Vietnam is a fast-growing industrial zone so it is important for manufacturers to ensure a safer working environment. The Industrial Safety Seminar on August 25 discussed safety policies, equipment and accident prevention devices.
The fourth seminar is Vertical Market Applications, which was held August 26. This provided useful information on security solution planning and installation for equipment.
