Radwin, a provider of backhaul and broadband wireless solutions, was chosen by the City of Colombo in Brazil for a large-scale digital city project aimed at improving public safety. Radwin’s links transmit real-time, high-resolution video from surveillance cameras situated across the city back to the municipality control center where information is accordingly monitored and processed.
Radwin’s wireless links also connect municipality offices by providing a high-speed connection. The links were deployed in a multiple Point-to-Point configuration, providing dedicated capacity to numerous sites from one central hub. Fabtec, a Brazilian integrator, was responsible for the design and implementation of the project.

The architecture of Radwin's multiple Point-to-Point links assured high performance and secured video quality that enabled us to detect and respond in real time to emergencies at the event location. "
