Americans CNL Software, John Menzel, VP of Marketing CNL Software, a provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, appointed John Menzel as VP of Marketing. Menzel is a well-respected name in the global security industry, with more than fifteen years of senior management experience in a range of enterprises. He joins a rapidly growing team at CNL Software, as it continues to expand its activities and dominate the global PSIM market.

CNL Software, a provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, appointed John Menzel as VP of Marketing. Menzel is a well-respected name in the global security industry, with more than fifteen years of senior management experience in a range of enterprises. He joins a rapidly growing team at CNL Software, as it continues to expand its activities and dominate the global PSIM market.

Menzel has held a number of senior executive positions with major industry enterprises including National Sales Manager at Intellikey and Director of Business Development and Technology Integration and Product Marketing Manager at HID, a division of Assa Abloy. Through his latest venture he attained industry recognition as the CEO, President and Cofounder of the XceedID, which was acquired by Ingersoll Rand in 2008. Following the sale, Menzel continued with Ingersoll-Rand Security in GM and Director of Marketing Strategy roles.

Menzel will be responsible for building closer relationships with CNL technology and channel partners, including IBM, Cisco, UTC, Ingersoll-Rand, Schneider Electric, Diebold, CIBER and Johnson Controls. He will also focus on increasing brand awareness and will work with other industry leaders to provide thought leadership in the fast paced PSIM market.

John Hinmon, VP of Marketing

Cross Match Technologies, a provider of biometric identity solutions, announced that John Hinmon has joined the company as VP of Marketing, with additional responsibilities relating to the company's mergers and acquisitions activities.

Hinmon joins Cross Match from the Safran Group subsidiary Vectronix, a provider of multifunction integrated electro-optics, laser range finding and north finding technologies for the U.S. departments of defense and homeland security. At Vectronix he served as VP of Sales and Marketing, and was responsible for US sales channel development, introduction of new product development processes and realignment of marketing efforts.

Prior to Vectronix, Hinmon held product management and commercial leader roles with HD Supply's Interiors business unit as the operation integrated eight legacy acquisitions. He spent eight years with GE Capital Services' Trailer Fleet Services and Modular Space businesses as Business Development Manager, responsible for multiple acquisitions and dispositions, and as the National Product Manager for the GE Imagination Breakthrough.

Before joining GE, Hinmon was with International Strategy Services, a New York-based M&A advisory and market consultancy specializing in the Portuguese-speaking world. He supported a variety of Fortune 500 and international clients' strategic planning, acquisition and disposition initiatives. Hinmon began his career as a management consultant with Ernst & Young.

Jalmari Vaissi, Director of Sales for Basler IP Cameras

Basler Vision Technologies, a producer of digital cameras for industrial and security applications, has appointed Jalmari Vaissi as the new Director of Sales for IP cameras in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). His primary goal is to further expand the business and establish Basler products in the EMEA region.

Vaissi completed his master's degree at the University of Technology in Finland. This native Finn has been active in a variety of positions in the video security sector for more than ten years. In his new position, he will focus on realizing strategic sales targets. Vaissi will also be responsible for supporting key customer accounts as well as for the management of the European sales team.
