At Sportex, lessons in many different sports such as skateboarding, rollerblading, mountain biking, BMX, parcour, acrofreestyle and snowboarding are held simultaneously, and there may be a large number of visitors. Because of this, the center's management decided to equip the building with a fail-safe access limitation and control system with the capability to keep detailed records of visits, both for visitors and for Sportex staff. After conducting a comparative analysis of systems from various manufacturers, the management and the security service selected an access control system based on the Axxon software package.
The system, installed by the Bastion Company, included controllers, turnstiles and motorized gates. As a result, the security service obtained an operating access limitation and control system using which they can ensure order and the security of visitors' and employees' personal belongings and valuables, as well as the property of the sports center.
In the near future the expansion of the ACS by adding and integrating additional servers, controllers and peripheral equipment is planned. In addition, the management of the center expressed its desire to stop using the existing video surveillance system and switch to a surveillance system based on the software package in order to create a single effective security system.
